Force Shaktiman 200 Detailed Review
The Force Shaktiman 200 shares its 2.0-litre three-cylinder diesel engine with the Force Kargo King, which happens to be one of the largest three-cylinder engines for a vehicle in India. This 2.0-litre diesel engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox and produces 67 bhp of maximum power output and 175 Nm of maximum torque output.
Summary
Shared with the Kargo King, the 2.0-litre diesel engine of the Force Shaktiman 200 generates 67 bhp of power and 175 Nm of torque.
While the front of the Force Shaktiman 200 gets parabolic leaf springs with hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers and a stabilizer bar at the front, the rear gets semi-elliptical, two-stage leaf springs with hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers at the rear. Available with mechanical steering as standard, the Force Shaktiman 200 is also available with power steering as an option. With the optional power steering, the turning radius of Force Shaktiman 200 is 5.5m.
Summary
The Force Shaktiman 400 uses a leaf spring-based suspension setup at both front and rear, and has a turning radius of 5.5m with the optional power steering.
Driving on 215/75 R15 tyres, the Force Shaktiman 200 has a length of 4,725mm, a width of 1,807mm and a height of 2,750mm. This commercial vehicle has a cargo box measuring 2,754mm long, 1,640mm wide and 1,750mm tall. While the front overhang of the Force Shaktiman 200 measures 865mm, the rear overhang is 1,090mm long. With a ground clearance of 200mm, the Force Shaktiman 200 has a gross weight of 3,475 kg and a payload capacity of 1,750 kg.
Summary
While the ground clearance of Force Shaktiman 200 is 200mm, its payload capacity is 1,750 kg.
The overall look and stance of the Force Shaktiman 200 are slightly toned down as compared to the bigger Shaktiman 400, which is inspired by the Force Traveller. The Force Shaktiman 200 has a large angular windscreen, and at the base of the windscreen, the tapered front hood of the vehicle starts. This compact hood ends up at the large and tall front grille, which is shaped in the form of a trapezium. This grille has rounded halogen headlamps on either side, with clear lens turn indicators above them. The front bumper of the Force Shaktiman 200 looks rugged, and this metal bumper also comes inbuilt with rounded provisions for fog lamps.
Summary
The design elements like a short and tapered front hood, rounded headlamps and blacked-out trapezoidal grille of the Force Shaktiman 200 make it look like a scaled-down version of the bigger Shaktiman 400.
It is one area where the Force Shaktiman 200 lacks severely, as the overall layout of the cabin looks extremely dated. The all-grey cabin of the Force Shaktiman 200 has a very outdated visual appeal, as there is not much inside the cabin when it comes to distinguishing elements. The basic-looking four-spoke steering wheel and a rectangular instrument console behind it have the same all-grey theme as the rest of the dashboard.
Summary
The entire cabin of the Force Shaktiman 200, including the driver's cockpit and the dashboard, looks severely outdated and has an all-grey look.
The Force Shaktiman 200 falls short on modern-day features as well when it comes to comfort and convenience features inside the cabin. Apart from the optional power steering, the Force Shaktiman 200 has no other modern-day essential to talk about.
Summary
The only noteworthy feature of the Force Shaktiman 200 is the optional power steering it comes with.
