Well-acclaimed EV start-up in India, Dandera Ventures announces the launch of the Otua- a three-wheeler designed for last-mile cargo transportation in the country. The brand claims that the vehicle comes loaded with industry-leading, top-class features which enable the 3-wheeler to have a load-carrying capacity of 900kg. It is also said that the vehicle has the longest driving range which is rated at 165 km on a single charge.
Further, the brand has stated that the Otua, priced between Rs.3.50 lakh to Rs.5.50 lakh is specially designed for transport logistics and last-mile delivery companies, however, the brand is also ready to offer this three-wheeler for retail purchase in select markets across India.
What’s interesting about this electric vehicle is that it is completely made in India, right from the ground up. The vehicle is said to be developed and constructed in India. All its components including the drivetrain and battery pack have been made indigenously.

The introduction of the product comes at a time when the Indian last-mile delivery and logistics industry is witnessing substantial growth and is expected to grow to a $5 billion market over the next few years. The entire industry is moving towards sustainable mobility in order to reduce carbon emissions.

As for the rate of EV adoption and Manufacturing of electric vehicles in India, it is enhanced with the FAME policy that is added to the FY2023 Budget. The Government of India is 100 per cent looking forward to the growth of this sector with the help of subsidies, regulations and policies, and a boost in battery research and development while trying to establish charging infrastructure.
