While the automotive industry is leaning towards electrification of their fleet, as it is believed to be the future of mobility, Greaves Electric Mobility Private Limited (GEMPL), the e-mobility venture of Greaves Cotton Limited, has revealed the design inspiration for its upcoming electric 2 and 3-wheelers which will revolutionize the industry. The new vehicles will be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023 event. 

According to the electric mobility solutions company, the upcoming EV product portfolio draws its inspiration from the ‘Arctic Tern’, the graceful and most enduring bird that migrates an average annual round-trip length of 60,000 miles a year, which is twice the circumference of the earth.

Moreover, the key highlight of the design includes a sustainable spirit which perpetually glides fluidly through the sky by spreading its angular large wings, with pointed tips. This has inspired GEMPL to bring together a seamless amalgamation of super-efficient design, with sustainable technologies in order to create zero-emission products.

As for the design inspiration, the Arctic Tern, a highly aerodynamic and slender creature with a streamlined body structure, has the ability to move swiftly through varied temperate zones, altitudes, and geographies. The new portfolio of EV products has embodied similar aerodynamic efficiency, slick aesthetics, and lightweight form factor, qualities that are essential in an EV for optimal performance and experience.

Technology and its impact on navigation is another important aspect, as the Arctic Tern is sensitive to the earth’s magnetic fields and can navigate long-haul flights effortlessly. Intelligent navigation technology with intuitive UI/UX will emerge as a prominent feature in the upcoming EVs.

Furthermore, such an inspiration to integrate advanced and aerodynamically efficient design language is believed to place the new electric vehicle portfolio of the company in the premium segment. However, nothing more about the product is revealed as of now,  but it could be a revolutionary product from Greaves Electric Mobility Private Limited as per the design reference stated above.
