The Ape E-Xtra from Piaggio comes powered by a tested and proven Lithium lon, 48V battery pack linked to a PT gear with an integral differential for better power and range delivery. Its 8 kWh battery pack, electric motor and transmission combined together deliver a maximum power of 9.55 kW at around 3500 rpm and 45 Nm of peak torque.
The Ape E-Xtra from Piaggio comes equipped with a heavy-duty hydraulically actuated drum brake system at both ends for better braking performance, lower brake component wear and maximum stoppage ability with heavy loads.
In terms of suspension, the three-wheeler comes fitted with a helical spring and a dampener in the front end for better ride comfort and stability while the rear houses a rubber spring with a dampener for higher load-bearing capacity.

The Ape E-Xtra rolls out of the production line with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) rated 975 kgs, a payload capacity of 506 kgs, a wheelbase of 2100 mm, a Minimum Ground Clearance of 220 mm, a Cargo Box Dimensions (LxWxH) rated 1830 mm x 1400 mm x 285 mm respectively and tyres sized 4.5 - 10’.
The Ape E-Xtra is believed to come with a Typical Driving Range (On-Road) of 90 + 5 km. As for pricing, the vehicle comes off the showroom floor carrying a price tag of Rs. 3.12 Lakh (the price indicated is ex-showroom and is subject to change.)
