PMI Electro Mobility Launches 22 New Electric Buses in Rajkot: A Step Towards Sustainable Transportation

In a significant move towards sustainable transportation, PMI Electro Mobility Solutions Pvt. Ltd. has launched 22 new electric buses in Rajkot, India. The buses will provide a comfortable and safe journey for passengers. The flag-off was done by Mr. Pradeep Dav, Ex. Mayor Rajkot, Mr. Jamin Thakar, Chairman- RMC (Rajkot Municipal Corporation), Mr. Mukesh Doshi-President BJP, ⁠Mr. Swapnil Khare, Deputy Municipal Commissioner, RMC amongst other dignitaries.

The addition of new buses will take the total number of air-conditioned electric buses in Rajkot to 109. The new buses will be 33-seater and will have semi-low floors which will allow easy entry and exit for passengers with special needs. These electric buses will also be eco-friendly and will reduce over 650 tons of CO2, over 1 year of operations.

The Gondal Charging Station is equipped with five 240kw GBT electric bus charging stations to ensure optimal uptime with 24×7 operations, maintenance, and service support.

These buses are powered by fast-charging lithium-ion batteries and are equipped with modern features like Real Time Passenger Information System (PIS), Panic Buttons for emergency stops, Vehicle Location & Tracking System, CCTV cameras, public address system, stop request buttons, and Fire Detection & Alarm System. For drivers, the ergonomically designed dashboard provides an intuitive and user-friendly system that allows drivers to concentrate on driving without distractions which makes it a truly global product.
