Leading e-logistic management and service provider, Zypp Electric has joined hands with Zepto, an online or e-grocery service for consumers startup, to facilitate last-mile delivery services. Under the current partnership, they have over 1,500 electric two-wheelers which have benefited in attaining 20,000 deliveries per day in Delhi. The brands have decided to further enhance their partnership by expanding delivery services in Bangalore and Mumbai in the coming 4 months.
At present, Zypp Electric provides its services at 50 Zepto hubs, in and around Delhi-NCR and plans on expanding its fleet range and the partnership as a whole by 10 times within the next 12 months. It also has plans on expanding its services across the country as well.
Akash Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO, Zypp Electric mentions, “Quick and sustainable is the future of commerce, and our partnership with Zepto is helping pave the way for this industry revolution.
In this first phase of our partnership, we have collectively helped reduce 1.62 lakh carbon emissions and so far facilitated more than half a million for Zepto, all via electric vehicles breaking the myth of speed with sustainability. Owing to the kind of response recorded, we are certain that our partnership will only grow by multi-folds in terms of both, network on fleet extended and the number of deliveries done in a day.”
Moreover, the two brands- Zypp Electric and Zepto have mentioned that their goal is to fully transition the last mile delivery logistic fleet into a 100 per cent electrified mobility-based service. In this regard, the brands have plans to partner with the country’s leading e-commerce, food delivery and other online platform-based services.
Further, the two companies’ strategic partnership and journey with multi-logistics and e-commerce brands to achieve their most valued milestone, in the near future, is said to transform the way last mile delivery services function. Of course, their aim is to achieve 100 per cent electrification of the business fleet.
Furthermore, the brands, Zypp Electric and Zepto have an active fleet of over 5000 electric two-wheelers and plan to deploy more than 1.5 lakh scooters by the end of 2023. Interestingly, just within the last five years time period, the brand has partnered with popular brands such as Swiggy, Zomato, Big Basket, Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, PharmEasy, Jio Mart, Delhivery, and Spencers, to enable smooth and efficient last-mile delivery services. It is also believed that the brand has plans to further expand its portfolio in the near future.
