Tresa Motors introduces the 18-tonner VO.2 Electric Truck

Tresa Motors has unveiled the VO.2 electric truck. The new electric truck is an upgrade to its previous model. The new truck is slated to transform the heavy-duty vehicle segment.

Tresa's V0.2 stands out as an eco-friendly logistics solution, designed to be durable, resilient, and reliable for Indian road conditions. Perfectly suited for E-commerce transportation, it promises a sustainable and efficient alternative. Through this endeavor, Tresa embarks on a journey to offer a compelling cost advantage per mile over traditional diesel trucks, demonstrating long-term economic value.

Tresa VO.2 new features

The VO.2, an 18-tonner electric truck is equipped with many advanced features that sets it apart from others. The new electric truck will test India's first and global industry-leading Centralized Computing Unit (CCU), powered by NVIDIA GPU technology. This system consolidates the functions of multiple Electronic Control Units (ECUs) into a single, powerful entity, streamlining the truck's operations and enhancing its performance and safety through real-time analytics.

The new truck boasts of advanced telemetry system, which monitors over 500 data points, transmitting them to the cloud for continuous analysis. This allows for an unprecedented level of insight into the vehicle's performance, facilitating ongoing improvements in efficiency and reliability. The truck is equipped with 800V modular battery packs, designed in-house, featuring a bespoke Battery Management System (BMS). The charging efficiency is complemented by its modular Meg50 battery pack, which offers customization based on payload requirements, presenting a versatile solution for various logistics needs.

There is also another new feature of central steering system and Tresa's proprietary Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), alongside a pioneering heat pump system catering to all cooling requirements, including cabin air-conditioning.

The latest V0.2 truck features a new central steering setup and a comfortable air-suspended seat with customizable body options. This powerhouse boasts a maximum torque of 24000Nm, reaching a top speed of 120kmph. Equipped with a 300KWH battery, the V0.2 offers a quick 20-minute charge time (10-80 per cent SOC), ensuring efficiency on the go.
