Toshiba India And EVage Join Hands To Enhance Electric CVs

Renowned and acclaimed technology giant, Toshiba India Private Limited announces the signing of a new partnership agreement with EVage Automotive Private Limited under which its SCiB rechargeable lithium-ion cells will be provided to power the 10,000 EVage electric commercial vehicles. This partnership will result in the development and incorporation of lithium-ion cells into EVage’s proprietary ultra-stable and rapid-charging battery packs

Under the new partnership, EVage expects Toshiba India to provide enough cells in 2023 to meet the growing demand for EVage’s commercial vehicles. EVage currently aims to ramp up production and fulfil the thousands of existing reservations for its delivery vans in India. Nonetheless, the partnership with Toshiba India ensures that EVage will meet its cost and margin targets.

As per recent reports, it is believed that this is the first time the lithium titanium oxide (LTO) cells are integrated into commercial delivery vans of EVage, which will help EVage Automotive Private Limited to further enhance battery safety, reliability and performance, a major benefit for its delivery fleet customers.
