This engine is mated to an efficient ET 30S5 5-Speed gearbox with a hybrid gear shift lever for better performance delivery.

The 712 LPT comes fitted with a Heavy Duty Air Braking System with an Auto Slack Adjustor for maximum braking performance and stopping power in the event of an emergency. In terms of suspension, the truck comes fitted with Semi-Elliptical Multi-Leaf Springs with 2 Hydraulic Double Acting Shock Absorbers in the front while the rear houses Semi-Elliptical Leaf springs.
