Globally renowned and acclaimed commercial and passenger tyre manufacturer, Ceat Tyres introduces the Winenergy X3-R tyres, built specifically for electric buses which are gradually increasing in number due to their zero carbon emissions. The Ceat Winenergy X3-R tyres are believed to be tested for enabling features that play a key role in offering superior ride quality and handling across EV bus fleets in India.
Further, the Winenergy X3-R tyres are offered in two sizes- 295/80R22.5 and 225/70R22.5.
The brand claims that they offer 30 per cent higher mileage and better rolling resistance while there is a 50 per cent reduction in tyre noise compared to regular tyres.
The tyres are indeed constructed to manage the heavy loads and battery pack weight of electric buses that operate in tough conditions. They have been designed to offer superior ride comfort on city roads and bad sections of roads as well.

As for the tyre construction, it is built on an all-steel construction for enabling the electric buses to deliver better power delivery from their electric powertrain. To satisfy the requirements of EV manufacturers like the need for efficiency and smooth power delivery, these tyres have tubeless construction as well.
Furthermore, the Winenergy X3-R electric bus tyres have low rolling resistance, better rigidity and robustness and tyre traction while ensuring lower road and tyre noise. Apart from these characteristics and features, it also has a tread-buckling resistance BRIC-T and noise-dampening FaF feature for enhancing the overall performance.

The tyres also roll out of the factory with a special circuit design, a larger contact patch, and stronger sidewalls for smooth and efficient fleet operation even in the toughest conditions.
