New Delhi, October 3, 2024 — Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML) has officially launched the Mahindra ZEO, a groundbreaking electric four-wheeler designed to transform urban logistics. Starting at an attractive price of ₹7.52 Lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India), the Mahindra ZEO offers significant cost savings along with enhanced sustainability for businesses. It is available in two variants: ZEO FSD V1 and V2, as well as ZEO DV V1 and V2.

The name ‘ZEO’ stands for "Zero Emission Option," reflecting Mahindra's dedication to sustainability and the transition towards electric vehicles. The ZEO is engineered to meet the rising demands of the urban logistics sector while aligning with Mahindra's mission to enhance the lives of its customers.

Powerful Performance and Range

At the heart of the Mahindra ZEO is a robust high-voltage architecture (300+ V) that ensures superior energy efficiency and fast charging capabilities. Powered by an advanced Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, the ZEO delivers an impressive 40 HP and 114 Nm of torque. With two battery options available, the Mahindra ZEO offers a liquid-cooled 21.3 kWh battery pack and an 18.4 kWh variant, both meeting the stringent AIS038 high-voltage battery safety standards to ensure reliable performance.

While ARAI claims a range of up to 246 km, the vehicle provides a practical driving range of up to 160 km, further enhanced by a regenerative braking system that improves range efficiency. Moreover, the ZEO can cover an impressive 100 km range in just 60 minutes when using a DC fast charger. With an AC charger, it takes approximately 7 hours to fully charge, while a fast AC charger reduces the time to around 3 hours.

Spacious and Comfortable Cabin

Inside the ZEO, comfort meets functionality. The cabin is designed to be spacious and user-friendly. Operators will benefit from a USB slot for mobile device charging and a glove box for secure storage.

The dashboard includes a wide instrument cluster that displays critical trip information, such as speed and battery status. Comfort is emphasized with soft perforated leather seats, ample legroom, and a D+1 seating arrangement, while a sun visor is provided solely on the driver's side to enhance the driving experience.

With a gross vehicle weight under 2 tonnes, the e-ZEO is engineered for practicality in last-mile logistics. It features R12-sized tires with a wheel diameter of 12 inches and a ground clearance of around 180 mm, enabling it to handle rough terrains without compromising the undercarriage.
