As you might know, vehicles with internal combustion engines produce extremely high carbon monoxide concentrations which are harmful to the environment. While passenger vehicles emit about 4.6 metric tons of carbon dioxide each year, the concentration and amount are three times more in commercial vehicles like trucks and buses. Hence, it's best to switch to electric vehicles for logistics purposes since they produce zero tailpipe emissions. 

2. Better savings:

The fuel costs are rising day by day making it harder for commercial fleet operators and independent owners to fill up the tank for long-haulage applications. This means that they would have to increase the cost of transportation which makes it difficult for their customers and themselves to potentially earn more profits. However, with EVs, fleet operators and owners do not need to worry about savings and fuel costs since the running cost of an electric vehicle is quite less meaning that they can save energy and energy costs. 

3. Less maintenance:

EVs do not have components such as spark plugs, oil, fuel tank and fuel pump which require regular maintenance for smooth operations. Therefore, the cost of maintenance on an EV is less when compared to ICE vehicles which need regular service.

4. Government initiatives: 

Unlike ICE vehicles, electric vehicles are offered benefits under the FAME-II subsidy and schemes to increase EV adoption in our country. Under this scheme, the government offers a subsidy of Rs 15,000 per kWh of battery. Also, the state and central government are separately providing benefits for EV customers as well. 

5. Hassle-free registration:

Finally, you get an exemption from the issue and renewal of registration fees. You also get an exemption from road tax, and registration charges if you are buying an EV. This will enhance your business in the long run.
