The LPT 3518 Cowl from Tata Motors is deemed India's highest preferred 4 Axle Rigid truck in the country. It comes powered by a Cummins ISBe 5.6 L BS6 180HP Diesel engine which has the ability to produce 140 kW of maximum power at 2300 rpm and 850 Nm of peak torque at around 1000 - 1600 rpm.
This powerful and proven diesel engine is mated to a slick and smooth TATA G950 6F + 1R Manual Synchromesh Transmission for better power delivery and overall performance. Further, the engine and gearbox of the truck are linked to each other by a 380 mm Dia Push type Single Plate Dry Friction Organic Lining integrated clutch setup for better driveability.
The LPT 3518 Cowl comes fitted with a heavy-duty air braking system for maximum braking performance, stoppage ability with heavy loads and lower brake component wear. In terms of axles, the truck comes with TATA Extra Heavy Duty 7T Reverse Elliot Type front axle for stability, while the rear equips TATA Single Reduction RA110LD for better load-bearing capacity.
