Delhi-based electric vehicle startup Euler Motors has entered the four-wheeler commercial vehicle segment with the launch of Storm EV. Meant for intracity and intercity usage, the new Euler Storm EV comes with 11 segment-first offerings, including an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). It will be available in two variants - Storm EV T1250 for intra-city commutes and Storm EV Long Range for inter-city commutes. The T1250 starts at ₹8.99 lakh and the Long Range 200 is priced at ₹12.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Both models come with a load capacity of 1250 kg and offer a variety of advanced features, including real-time driver safety tools, fast charging, and a robust suspension system for smoother cargo transport. The Storm EV Long Range 200 has a 30 kwh battery, providing a range of 200 km, a body length of 10 feet, and a volumetric capacity of 330 cubic feet. It supports CCS fast charging, offering a 100 km range with 15 minutes of charging, and includes an 8-leaf rear suspension for smoother cargo transport. Whereas, the Storm EV T1250 offers a 140 km range, an 8.2 ft. load body length, and a volumetric capacity of 220 to 260 cubic feet. It utilizes the DC001 fast charging protocol, providing a 100 km range in 30 minutes. The T1250 is available in two versions: one for dense load with a reinforced chassis and another for regular loads.
The Euler Storm EVs are the first 4W LCV to be available with ADAS features. So, it gets a front and reverse camera collision alert, and Night Vision Assist (NVA). The latter is quite the unique introduction in the LCV segment that uses the front camera to see through dark alleys clearly. Besides that, the Euler Storm EVs come with LED headlights as standard with sequential indicators. The latter also doubles up as a state-of-charge indicator.
But one of the most thoughtful features inside the Storm EV cabin has to be the inclusion of an air-conditioning system that is available with the Euler Storm EV LR variant only as standard. The Storm EV offers three driving modes- Range, Thunder, and Rhino- tailored for various terrains and load conditions. The 10.2-inch infotainment system, a segment first, integrates maps, and entertainment options like movies and songs, and comes with 1 GB of free daily data.
This is only Euler’s second product launch since the company started in 2018. With the Storm EV they enter a stiffer segment with more established players, but also with more possibility. Companies are now trying to lure buyers with more comfort and convenience-based features, apart from the traditional load-bearing capacity. It will be interesting to see how this EV performs in the market!
