  1. Headlight rule:

Many countries have a law which enforces truck drivers to use headlights along with windshield wipers during snow, rain and sleet for better visibility, necessary to keep everyone on road safe. There are penalties for not using headlights along with windshield wipers during harsh weather conditions in certain countries. So, make sure to check the headlights and wipers before heading out on a job, during bad weather conditions.

  1.  Phone usage law:

Although most countries around the globe allow using Bluetooth hands-free equipment for talking while driving a truck, it is always a distraction. So it is good to follow the norm of one task at a time for the safety of occupants and people on road. Also, texting while driving is an offence across the globe since it could cause an accident and become a safety risk.

  1. Speed limitations:

In many countries, there is a speed lock or speed governor system to limit the speed of commercial vehicles like trucks as a cautious attempt to avoid accidents. However, even with the speed governor onboard, trucks can do 80kmph on tight curves which can cause them to flip. So, it's best to drive slowly for the safety of everyone and to avoid hefty speeding tickets.
