Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) has made a significant stride in the Indian trucking industry with the launch of its new range of heavy-duty rigid trucks from BharatBenz. This move is set to redefine the standards of reliability, efficiency, and performance in the Indian market. The new range of trucks will be powered by an all-new BharatBenz BSVI-Stage2 6.7-litre diesel engine. These trucks will be used in new payload applications such as bitumen, bulker, Petroleum, Oil & Lubricants (POL) in addition to a variety of existing payload applications.
The new engine of the rigid trucks is offered in two configurations with higher horsepower and torque – 250HP and 950Nm and 306HP and 1200Nm. The BharatBenz heavy-duty rigid trucks will be available in a range of configurations, including 2826R (6x2),3526R (8x2), 3832R (8x2), 4232R (10x2), 4832R (10x2).
The newly launched truck range is offered with a 10-lakh km Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC). This contract ensures long-term durability along with reducing the cost of ownership for customers.
The new BharatBenz rigid trucks comply with the EU ECE R29-02 cabin safety norms. There are many new features like aerodynamically designed AC cabins which enhances comfort during long journeys. There is a Advanced Driver State Monitoring systems with AI and computer vision which help drivers to stay focused. In addition to this the trucks gets a more powerful engine brake system increasing braking efficiency by 28%.
