Nonetheless, let us take a look at the different variants of the Ashok Leyland Bada Dost which has caught the attention of millions of last-mile delivery logistics in India.
The Ashok Leyland Bada Dost i4 is the top-end variant which features a best-in-class payload capacity of 1860 kg. It comes powered by a 59.6 kW or 80 hp and 190 Nm torque-producing BS6 engine that offers superior fuel efficiency. In terms of load body dimensions, the Bada Dost i4 variant cargo body stands 2951mm in length, 1750mm in breadth and has a height of 490mm. Further, it has a superior fuel tank capacity of 50 litres.
As for features, the Bada Dost i4 offers ARAI-certified 1+2 seating, a dash-mounted gear system, power steering and A/C for a comfortable drive.

For serving the last mile delivery services with an efficient mid-range truck, Ashok Leyland has introduced the Bada Dost i3+ which rolls off the showroom floor with a payload capacity of 1370kg. In terms of load body dimensions, the Bada Dost i3+ cargo body stands 2860mm in length, 1750mm in breadth and 441mm in height. The vehicle is available in HSD, Container, Reefer body and Refuse collection.

Finally, in the Ashok Leyland lineup, the i3 variant comes with a superior payload capacity of 1400 kg. Unlike the other two variants aforementioned, the Bada Dost i3 comes has a lesser fuel tank capacity of 40 litres. As for its cargo body dimensions, the vehicle’s load body stands 2860mm in length, 1750mm in breadth and 441mm in height.
NOTE: All the three variants come powered by a 1.5 L, 3-Cylinder Diesel BSVI compliant engine that churns out 80hp of power and 190Nm of peak torque.
