Leading and renowned commercial and passenger vehicle tyre manufacturer in India, Apollo Tyres revamps its offering for the mining segment in the country in order to meet the growing needs of the mining industry across India. The company has come up with Apollo EnduTuff Mining, a mining radial tyre exclusively built to last and Apollo Terra MT, a bias tyre. 

According to the brand, the Apollo EnduTuff Mining is constructed to offer superior performance qualities which significantly reduces the downtime for its costumes, in order to enhance productivity which indeed helps in better savings.  The Apollo EnduTuff Mining offers a CPKM advantage of over 40% with superior life, puncture resistance and higher uptime along with the most durable casing and hence multiple retreads.

The brand has stated that the Apollo EnduTuff Mining and Apollo Terra MT are best suitable for mining applications wherein there is limited exposure to extremely rough and tough terrain conditions. 

However, these tyres are constructed and produced at the company’s state-of-the-art facility in Chennai and have been developed and tested extensively in the toughest mines in India as well as Indonesia. Their construction includes a special compound with a unique mixture of polymers and resins that are known to help the tyres provide superior fuel efficiency. 

Apart from these, it has an anchored block shape which ensures uniform loading and a stable footprint in all loads for smooth wear. Furthermore, the belt configuration has been engineered specifically along with thicker cushioning and body ply structure which improves the tyres’ puncture resistance in mining applications.

The company also pointed out that the Apollo Terra MT tyres are designed with 1000+ manhours spent carefully studying its construction and abilities before being launched to its customers. The tread compound is created using new hybrid reinforcing technology. Also, the engineered polymer blend in the sidewall of Apollo Terra MT which makes it cut-resistant, and the increased off-shoulder gauge with a stone protector protects the casing from external damage.
