The John Deere 5310 comes equipped with a reliable and powerful 3 Cylinders, Direct injection, Turbocharged, Inline FIP, Coolant cooled with overflow reservoir integrated engine which has the capacity to deliver 55 HP (41.6 kW) at 2400 RPM. The engine of the 5310 is coupled to a Collarshift, TSS, 9F+3R with additional creeper speeds integrated gearbox for better power delivery. The engine and transmission are linked to each other with the help of a dual-clutch system.

Further, the John Deere 5310 comes fitted with Independent, 6 Splines Power Take Off which operates at a power of 540 @ 2376 ERPM. As for its hydraulics, it gets 3 Point Linkage with Automatic depth and draft control (ADDC) which enables the tractor to have a Maximum Lifting capacity of 2000 kgf.
