The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has released its February 2025 vehicle retail data, showing a 1.92% decline in three-wheeler commercial vehicle sales. The total retail sales for this segment stood at 94,181 units, compared to 96,020 units in February 2024.
FADA President C S Vigneshwar stated, “The commercial three-wheeler segment continues to see demand, especially in the goods category. However, financing constraints and pricing pressures are affecting growth.”
The increase in E-Rickshaw (Goods) sales highlights the growing demand for last-mile delivery solutions, particularly in urban and semi-urban markets. Meanwhile, passenger three-wheelers continue to hold steady, driven by demand for shared mobility.
Looking ahead, dealers anticipate improved sales momentum in March, backed by government initiatives, demand for electric three-wheelers, and festival-driven market sentiment. However, challenges such as high interest rates and supply chain constraints remain.
