Ashok Leyland Launches 4x2 Tractors- AVTR 4220 and AVTR 4420

Critically acclaimed and the country’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, Ashok Leyland, a Hinduja Group company, announces the launch of the AVTR 4220 and AVTR 4420 models in the 4x2 Tractor segment. The company has taken wraps off its much-awaited Ashok Leyland AVTR 4220 and AVTR 4420 models with 41.5T and 43.5T gross combined weight (GCW) respectively.

According to the brand, it is believed that Ashok Leyland is the first Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in India to offer tractors with 41.5T and 43.5T GCW in a two-axle configuration.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Head- MHCV, Ashok Leyland, said, “The modular platform of Ashok Leyland enables us to deliver custom-tailored products to cater for the needs of every customer. The high GCW of AVTR 4220 and 4420 tractors permits customers to carry denser loads, thus delivering superior fuel efficiency and better TCO advantage.

As for the two trucks, the AVTR 4220 and AVTR 4420 are offered with a reliable and durable H6 Engine- a powerful 6-cylinder engine with i-Gen6 technology that churns out optimal power for efficient cargo transportation. As mentioned before, the AVTR 4220 and AVTR 4420 models are offered in 41.5T and 43.5T GCW options respectively, with a suitable two-axle configuration as well.

Further, the Ashok Leyland AVTR 4220 with 41.5T GCW and AVTR 4420 with 43.5T GCW have higher fluid efficiency and lower diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) consumption. The vehicle is designed and constructed on a strong platform suitable to take on difficult driving conditions. Also, the cabin is designed to reduce driver fatigue and provide a comfortable ride for its occupants.

Speaking of the cabin, the AVTR 4220 and AVTR4420 are offered with different cabin options like Cowl, M Cabin, U Cabin and N Cabin (Sleeper Cabins) which enhances the driving experience. Furthermore, the brand aims to provide a comfortable yet efficient vehicle for long-haul duties and cargo delivery services that aim at higher profitability.
